Representatives of business associations from Kosovo and Italy met in Prishtina today to discuss increasing economic cooperation, investments and trade between the two countries.

The meeting was organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DHTIK), with the participation of Guido D’Amico, president of Confimprese Italia, the Confederation of Employers’ Unions for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. He was accompanied by Muharrem Salihu, president of Confimprese Venice-Italy.

The meeting was also attended by Lulzim Rafuna, president of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, and Bekim Kastrati, executive director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo.

The meeting continues DHTIK’s cooperation with Confimprese Italia, aimed at strengthening economic ties between Kosovo and Italy.

He said these objectives are particularly important at a time when Kosovo’s market continues to face a high level of imports.

Kosovo Chamber of Commerce President Lulzim Rafuna said Kosovo businesses are interested and prepared to expand cooperation and increase exports to the Italian market.

Meanwhile, Bekim Kastrati, executive director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, emphasized the importance of creating sustainable partnerships between business communities. He said international economic cooperation is one of the key pillars of economic growth, innovation and competitiveness.

The meeting also discussed the organization of joint activities, including B2B meetings and events focused on specific economic sectors.

According to data from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, in 2025 Kosovo exported goods worth around €28.9 million to Italy, while imports from Italy reached €369.4 million.

Meanwhile, Italian investments in Kosovo amounted to €8.9 million during the first six months of this year.
