Kosovo and Albania Sign Agreement to Simplify Employment Procedures
The Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania have signed a cooperation agreement on labour mobility aimed at facilitating access to the labour market for citizens of both countries and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of employment.
The agreement was signed by Kosovo’s Minister and Albania’s Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, during the first bilateral ministerial meeting held outside Kosovo.
According to a statement issued by Kosovo’s Ministry of Labour, Family and War Veterans, the agreement is intended to establish simpler and faster procedures for the employment of Kosovo citizens in Albania and Albanian citizens in Kosovo, while expanding opportunities for professional development and economic cooperation between the two countries.
On this occasion, officials emphasized that the agreement further strengthens the ties between Kosovo and Albania and represents an important step toward creating greater opportunities for citizens by removing administrative barriers that may restrict labour mobility and employment.
It was also noted that the two countries are united not only by their shared history and identity, but also by a common responsibility to build a future with greater opportunities for their citizens.
