KOC signed contracts with 44 scholarship holders, Krasniqi: Support will continue to grow
The Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOC) has signed contracts with 44 scholarship holders who are young athletes from various sports, contracts from which these athletes will benefit from 150 euros per month.
On the occasion of the signing, the president of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Ismet Krasniqi, said that this support will continue to increase both in financial value and in the number of benefiting athletes.
“Today we are signing 44 Olympic Hopes, this number is obviously increasing, you know that in the beginning it was a very small number, then every year we have increased the number of athletes’ support” said Krasniqi.
The head of the KOC also spoke about the recent success of boxer Donjeta Sadiku, who secured the Olympic standard for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He said that this is another great success for Kosovar sports.
“I want to use the opportunity to congratulate Donjeta Sadiku, who honored us with her victory, made us proud, now we have an extra norm from the sport of boxing and we hope that the Bajoku brothers in May, where they have the last competition for qualifications in Thailand, will have luck and success and that Kosovo will be presented at the Paris 2024 games with more athletes of Olympic standard, and that we will have good results from Paris” underlined Krasniqi.
In addition to Sadiku, the brothers Shpëtim and Bashkim Bajoku are aiming for the Olympic standard in the sport of boxing.
