Jose Carreras pays tribute to Colectiv club fire victims in his Bucharest concert

During his most recent concert in Bucharest, held on Thursday at the Romexpo Central Pavilion, Spanish tenor Jose Carreras paid tribute to the victims of the Colectiv club fire, to whom he dedicated Ave Maria, one of his most popular tunes.

The tenor started his two-hour-long performance with “La Serenata” and “Era di Maggio”, and later gave the stage to soprano Natalia Kovalova, who performed Antonin Dvorak’s “Song to the Moon” from the opera “Rusalka”.

At the end of her performance, the artist brought Carreras back on stage for their first duet. More…
