Italian fighters on Thursday night shot down a Ukrainian drone that had strayed over Latvia.
“We are grateful to our Italian allies for their contribution to NATO’s air defense mission in the Baltics and for maintaining the integrity of allied airspace.

Last night, a foreign unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down by our Italian allies over eastern Latvia,” Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze wrote on X.
