The management of the Bucharest-Ilfov Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) has been suspended, with the head of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) expected today to appoint a new management team for the interim management of ISU Bucharest-Ilfov.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, IGSU says that on Tuesday it received a media notification about the existence of a document regarding the organisation of a public event with a large audience at the former Pionierul shoe factory, 1st floor, Colectiv Club, for September 25-26, prior to the devastating fire at the same site on October 30.
”Upon reception of the notification, the IGSU general inspector informed the head of DSU [Emergency Department], who ordered immediate checks at the headquarters of the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Inspectorate. Preliminary data show that the checks identified the document as part of the mail received by IGSU on September 23, 2015, around 23:30hrs. Because solving the request in the document was under the jurisdiction of the Bucharest-Ilfov Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the document was forwarded to the relevant unit on the morning of September 24, 2015, for assessment and measures,” reads the IGSU statement.
