IntMin, French Ambassador discuss strengthening information exchange between police structures

Interior Minister Petre Toba had a meeting on Thursday with France’s Ambassador Francois Saint-Paul, during which the two officials talked about strengthening the information exchange between the police structures of the two countries, in the current security context at European level.

According to an Interior Ministry (MAI) release sent to AGERPRES, during the meeting, the two highlighted the excellent cooperation between the two Interior Ministries, with a focus on a the operative area, which led to significant progress having been registered in combatting crime, an example in this respect being the mission of the 36 Romanian police officers currently operating in France.

“At the same time, the two officials underscored the fact that the privileged relations between Romania and the French Republic will be further capitalised on, both on a bilateral level, from the perspective of the strategic partnership between the two states, and on the level of the European Union,” the release also shows.
