International Congress in Robotic Surgery to be hosted by Romania as a first

The 4th edition of the International Congress in Robotic Surgery will be unfolding in Romania, October 29-31, with more than 300 participants expected, organisers report.

The scientific schedule of the congress covers the majority of areas where robotic surgery is used: urology, gynaecology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology.

Delivering papers to the meeting will be more than 100 lecturers, including famous names of national and international surgery: Professor Konstantinos Konstantinidis — the architect of robotic surgery in Greece and also chairman of the South East European Robotic Surgery Society; Professor Sarfraz Ahmad (USA); Professor Grigor Gortchev (Bulgaria); Professor Savvas C. Hirides (Greece); Professor Nikolaos Nikiteas (Greecce) and Professor Richard Satava (USA).

The event, to be hosted by the World Trade Centre in Bucharest, will be chaired by Irinel Popescu. Organisers are the South East European Robotic Surgery Society, the Dan Setlacec Foundation and the Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery and Other Surgical Techniques. More…
