Gramnjak wins Croatia’s first medal at Deaflympics in Tokyo

ZAGREB, 17 Nov (Hina) – Croatia won its first medal at the 25th Deaflympics in Tokyo thanks to shooter Boris Gramnjak, who claimed bronze in the men’s 10m air pistol final.

After a slightly uncertain semifinal, Gramnjak showed strong stability and precision in the final, confirming his status as one of Croatia’s most successful deaf athletes. This is his seventh Deaflympics medal: four in handball and three in shooting, including today’s bronze.

“I am proud to have finished third. I dedicate this medal to the victims of Vukovar and Škabrnja. I will continue to give my best,” Gramnjak said.

Also in the men’s final, Bruno Pervan finished fourth, while in the women’s competition, Lana Skeledžija came sixth.
