Romanian Foreign Affairs minister Bogdan Aurescu will be on Thursday on a working visit to Budapest, at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart, Peter Szijjarto, a press release by the Foreign Affairs Ministry reads.
The two officials’ agenda includes bilateral talks about the minorities, the economic and border cooperation, and current European issues, too.
The schedule of the visit includes talks with Hungarian chief diplomat, as well as meetings with the chairman of the Foreign Affairs’ Committee of the National Assembly of Hungary, Zsolt Nemeth, with representatives of the democrat opposition of the said assembly. Withal, the Romanian chief diplomat will have a meeting with the Romanian community’s representatives in Hungary and the Danube Committee’s leadership.
The Romanian side will approach, in the spirit of the Romanian-Hungarian Strategic Partnership, topics of the day of the bilateral agenda, including the stage of the finalization of the Romanian-Hungarian relevant Committee of collaboration in matters of national minorities and also aspects regarding the boosting of the economic sectorial and border cooperation with Hungary.
