Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu in New York has reiterated Romania’s firm support for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) coming into force.
According to a Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) statement to AGERPRES, Aurescu on Tuesday participated in New York in a conference devoted to the endorsement of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty coming into force, an event that took place on the side-lines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
“The treaty’s immediate coming into force will be an important step forward toward creating a safer world. This remains a priority objective in the area of disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, which we shall continue to fully support,” the Romanian head diplomat underscored, according to MAE.
