The plenary of the House of Representatives has voted to put on hold the implementation of a legislation on foreclosures until April 17.
Thirty one MPs voted to put on hold the date of the legislation, initially passed last September, from coming into force until April 17 while twenty MPs abstained.
MPs voted on the legislative proposal tabled by DIKO President Nicolas Papadopoulos in order to give legislators sufficient time to thoroughly review a new framework on insolvency comprised of five different bills.
