European Parachuting Championship, Rama: Finalists from 25 countries compete at Gjirokastra aerodrome

TIRANA, Oct 7 /ATA/ Gjirokastra is welcoming for the first time the 8th edition of the European Parachuting Championship.

 This sports event, which started yesterday in the stone city, will bring in the course of 8 days 100 pilots from different countries.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday shared images from the opening ceremony of the championship in the fortress of Gjirokastra.

Rama said that finalists from 25 countries have landed in revitalized Gjirokastra to compete 8 days in a row in the European Parachuting Championship.

The European Parachuting Championship comes as a collaboration of the European Aeronautics Federation and the Albanian Aeronautics Federation. This activity takes place at the Gjirokastra aerodrome, which has already become the center of sports tourism.
