The candidate of the PSD-UNPR-PC alliance Victor Ponta got 40.33 percent of the votes in the first round of the presidential polls on Sunday, while Christian Liberal Alliance’s candidate Klaus Iohannis got 30.44 percent, according to partial results made public by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) at 11 a.m. on Monday, based on information centralized until 10.20 a.m. that were collected from 18,527 polling stations, accounting for 98.30 percent of all polling places.
