Head of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of the Floreasca Emergency Hospital Prof. Dr. Ioan Lascar on Wednesday told AGERPRES that the prognosis for the Colectiv club fire burn patient who is being treated at this medical facility remains cautious.
“The burn injuries are no longer a threat. Of the group that was admitted here, this patient was in the worst condition — he was dead on arrival, he was in cardiorespiratory arrest and had to be resuscitated. He then suffered a lot of complications right from the start, because of the specifics of the accident. Basically he’s been through all the complications possible for this type of trauma produced by complex burns, but with great effort we managed to pull him through. He is fighting and we are fighting as well, but it is premature to draw a conclusion. He’s been through good periods and less good periods. He is feeding, but the prognosis, just like in the case of any patient with severe burns, remains cautious until hospital discharge,” said Ioan Lascar.
According to data released by the Health Ministry, another 12 patients are still hospitalized in medical facilities abroad. More…
