ZAGREB, 21 Jan (Hina) – Croatian news portals attracted more than 2.5 million unique users per month in 2025, with users spending around 17 million hours on them each month, according to a year-long web audience measurement conducted by the Croatian Digital Publishers Association (HUDI) and the Ipsos agency.
HUDI said the joint measurement system, launched on 1 January 2025, provides a transparent, standardised and reliable overview of reach and engagement across Croatian websites. The data show that Croatian portals reached more than 85% of the population aged 15 to 75, effectively covering almost the entire online population.
Beyond reach, audience engagement was also high, with significant time spent on domestic portals throughout the year.
HUDI noted that the system covers all relevant domestic publishers, is independent of third-party cookies and varying international methodologies, and offers advertisers and agencies a single, comparable data set for campaign planning, evaluation and optimisation.
HUDI director Ozren Kronja said the unified measurement had created a “common data language” for publishers, agencies and advertisers, adding that the system will be further expanded with advanced video metrics, content segmentation and deeper audience insights.
