Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States to Bucharest Dean Thompson opened on Friday the US Alumni Fair, organized by the US Embassy in Romania and hosted by the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism.
The US diplomat conveyed the message that international education, the opportunity to study abroad, represents a great opportunity and expressed hope that many of those present at the event will have the chance to do so.
Thompson told pupils present at the fair that he too had the chance to study abroad while writing his Bachelor’s thesis, which for him was a progress (…) to study overseas, make friends, travel and later start a career where he can do this and, at the same time, represent his country all over the world.
In his turn, the rector of Bucharest University of Architecture and Urbanism Zeno Bogdanescu said he believed the fair has everything necessary to be a success and expressed hope that the event will become a tradition. More…
