Cyprus’ trade deficit increases during first 11 months of 2014

Cyprus` trade deficit increased in the first eleven months of 2014 compared to the corresponding period in 2013.

According to the Statistical Service, the trade deficit was €3.406,1mn in January-November 2014, compared to €2.913,9mn in the corresponding period of 2013.

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) in January-November 2014, amounted to €4.729,9mn as compared to €4.414,7mn in January-November 2013.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states) in January-November 2014, were €1.323,7mn compared to €1.500,8mn in January-November 2013.

During November 2014, total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) valued at €389,7mn.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states), including stores and provisions, in November 2014, amounted to €102,4mn.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €55,5mn, whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €46,9mn.
