The President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades and the Government condemn with abhorrence today’s terrorist attacks in Brussels which resulted in the death of innocent people and the wounding of many others, including two Cypriot citizens.
“Such cowardly acts which aim at innocent people, provoke the repugnance of the international community. Such cowardly acts succeed only to forge the will for decisive action on the part of the international community to fight terrorism”, says an official announcement.
The President of the Republic and the Government express their sincere condolences to the families of the victims, to the Government and the people of Belgium.
According to the announcement, the President of the Republic has issued orders to the competent authorities to provide every assistance and facilities to the Cypriot citizens who have been wounded in the attacks.
