Cyprus, Malta and Montenegro Foreign Ministers hold trilateral meeting

Cyprus Foreign Affairs Minister Ioannis Kasoulides will hold a trilateral meeting on Thursday in Nicosia with his counterparts from Malta, George W. Vella, and Montenegro, Igor Lukšić.

The Ministers will review Montenegro’s accession process to the EU and identify areas where Cyprus and Malta could assist by providing their expertise, know-how and implementation of best practices, an official press release issued Wednesday.

On the agenda are also regional issues of common interest, it added.

A press conference will follow and later Kasoulides will host a dinner in honour of his two counterparts.

The Cypriot Minister will also hold separate bilateral meetings with his counterparts and on Friday the 20th Ministers Kasoulides and Lukšić are set to sign a bilateral agreement between Cyprus and Montenegro for cooperation in fighting terrorism, organized crime, illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, illegal migration and other criminal offenses.

Montenegro`s Foreign Minister will meet on the same day with Cyprus` Minister of Finance, Harris Georgiades and the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis.
