An Athens court has found former Cyprus` Interior Minister Dinos Michaelides, his son Michalis and three others guilty of receiving kickbacks.
All defendants were also found guilty of money laundering in relation to the purchase of TOR-M1 anti-aircraft missiles by Greece during Akis Tsohatzopoulos’ term as Greek defence minister.
The Court said that the five defendants “are the perpetrators of the actions for which they have been accused.”
Defence lawyers have filed a motion for leniency with the court, citing honesty and good behaviour as mitigating circumstances.
