President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades assured France of Cyprus` solidarity in the terrible ordeal the country is going through.
The President signed on Wednesday the book of condolences for the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13, at the residence of the French Ambassador here.
He wrote “it is with great emotion and sadness that I have learnt the news of the heinous terrorist attacks that occurred in Paris”.
“In these difficult circumstances, our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and the French people as a whole”, the President added.
These abominable and inhumane actions are attacks against peace and threaten not only the fundamental principles of the French state but also all free and democratic nations, he added.
“I want to assure you of the solidarity of my government and the people of Cyprus in this terrible ordeal that France is going through,” the President added.
