A cooperation Protocol between Cyprus and Romania was signed Friday in Nicosia at the end of the 15th Session of the Joint Cyprus-Romanian Committee, aiming to further strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
The protocol was signed by the Director General of the Directorate General of European Programmes, Coordination and Development George Georgiou who led the Cypriot delegation at the talks, and the Romanian Under Secretary for Financial Matters, Bogdan Pandelica, who led the Romanian delegation.
During the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, established under the bilateral Agreement on Economic, Industrial and Technical Cooperation, the delegations reviewed the cooperation achieved so far between Cyprus and Romania and examined ways in which the existing ties of friendship between the two countries could be promoted and reinforced in the fields of economy, trade, industry, investment, energy, health, labor, education, culture, agriculture, livestock, food security etc..
They also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in order to secure funds from European Competitive Programs.
