Cypriot parties discuss “hot” issues relating to peace process

Cypriot political parties held today a lively discussion on the selected topic in the agenda of their regular meetings, which was “Having a hot discussion on the Cyprus question may help”.

Leaders and representatives of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties met today at the Ledra Palace hotel, in the UN controlled buffer zone, under the auspices of the Slovak embassy.

According to the joint communiqué, read out by Slovak Ambassador, Oksana Tomova they constructively expressed opinions on the issue proposed by the hosting party, the New Cyprus Party/YKP.

“The parties discussed the subject of handling hot topics and unanimously agreed to discuss hot topics in future meetings”.

The next regular meeting of the leaders and the representatives of the political parties will be held on Wednesday 25 November, at the Ledra Palace.

The National Unity Turkish Cypriot party did not attend today`s meeting.
