Culture Minister Vulpescu: We must not allow repeat of Holocaust, WW II mistakes

The Culture Minister, Ionut Vulpescu, who has participated in the 70th memorial ceremony since the liberation of the Mauthausen (Austria) concentration camp, deems the repeat of the Holocaust and World War II’s horrors should not be allowed to repeat.

“Such moments do compell us to meditate to the responsibility of each other towards the common good, to never accept the prejudice of anybody’s freedom, the violation of the citizens’ rights, to not allow the emptying of substance of the democracy. By honouring the memory of the Nazi victims, of the victims of all kind of totalitarianism we work for a future free of violence, discrimination of any kind, racism and anti-Semitism. We must not allow the repeat of the horrors of the Holocaust and the World War II,” the Culture minister, who has represented on Sunday the Romanian Government to the ceremony in Austria, said. More…
