CSM releases e-learning modules regarding new codes of law

The Supreme Council of Magistrates (CSM) on Monday released 24 e-learning modules and pamphlets regarding Romania’s latest criminal and civil law codes developed under a project by trainers of the National Institute of Magistracy (INM) and foreign experts.

The release was hosted by the INM headquarters under an assistance project for the consolidation of Romania’s institutional capacity in the areas of professional training for judges and prosecutors and the implementation of the new codes.

INM Director Octavia Spineanu Matei told the launch ceremony that 14 national conferences, three international conferences and 125 seminars have been held under the project since 2012, with 3,129 magistrates having been trained.

CSM Deputy Chairman Bogdan Gabor said the coming into force of the four codes was a highlight in the history of Romania’s judiciary, and at the same time it was a real challenge to the judiciary. More…
