Podgorica, (MINA) – The Court of Appeal rejected on Thursday as unfounded the appeal of the defense lawyer of the former special prosecutor Sasa Cadjenovic, against the decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica to extend his pretrial custody.

The decision to reject an appeal as unfounded was made by the panel of judges of the Court of Appeal,at the session held on Thursday.

“The decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica extended Cadjenovic’s pre-trail custody due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed a criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and six criminal offenses of abuse of office”, the press statement published on the Appellate Court’s website stated.
