A retrospective of the films directed by Corneliu Porumboiu will be staged starting Monday by the Madrid-based Romanian Cultural Institute and the New Directors Platform, a Spanish professional association aimed at the promotion of cinema art.
According to a release of the Madrid-based Institute to AGERPRES on Monday, Porumboiu will attend the opening of the retrospective to present his most recent film, ‘The Treasure’. He will take part in a discussion before the audience with film critic Javier Tolentino, who makes the film show ‘El septimo vicio’ on Spanish public broadcaster Radio 3.
‘The Treasure’, launched earlier this year, received the award Un Certain Talent at Cannes International Film Festival for best Romanian film and was also rewarded at Transylvania International Film Festival.
