Andreas Mavroyiannis and Ozdil Nami, the negotiators of the island’s two communities, continued their discussion on core issues on Thursday.
The meeting concluded at around noon and the two negotiators talked about issues which will be discussed during the leaders` meeting, scheduled for July 10.
During their last meeting, on the 29th of June, the two leaders, namely the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci, immersed in substantive negotiations focusing on unresolved core issues.
Cyprus has been divided since 1974 when Turkey invaded and occupied 37% of its territory. UN-led talks, aiming to reunite the island under a federal roof, resumed on May 15, this year.
