Lead singer of the Krypton band Gabi “Gurita” Nicolau told AGERPRES that a Colectiv Memorial should be placed at a site with high visibility and a motto that could define the monument would be “Your indifference kills your children!”
AGERPRES: What do you think about the creation of a Colectiv Memorial, as a symbol against forgetting?
Gabi “Gurita” Nicolau: That is a very good idea and it should be useful.
AGERPRES: How do you envision this Colectiv Memorial? Should it be built at the site of the tragedy or elsewhere?
Gabi “Gurita” Nicolau: It should be a symbol of a finger pointing at the political class and politruks, which particularly those aspiring to become politicians should be compelled to watch. The Romanian state is us, the entire population of Romania, and the Romanian state should be the one in charge with building the memorial. Romanian state representatives, namely all politicians, should build it on personal donations and they should also take part in building it by physical work.
AGERPRES: What motto do you think should define this Memorial?
Gabi “Gurita” Nicolau: ” Your indifference kills your children!”
AGERPRES: What do you think should be the most important lesson for those who visit the Colectiv Memorial?
Gabi “Gurita” Nicolau: It should awake the consciousness of any looker-on and passer-by, including clerics, who have abandoned their Christian faith by becoming bigots. More…
