Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People`s Republic of China Wang Yi will pay, on December 20-21, an official visit to Cyprus, during which he will hold meetings with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and President of the House Yiannakis Omirou and participate in official talks between delegations of the two countries, headed by him and his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides.
According to the programme of his visit, Wang will arrive in Cyprus on Sunday afternoon. Later on he will take a walking tour of Ledra and Onasagorou streets in Nicosia.
On Monday morning, Wang will be received at the Presidential Palace by the President of the Republic. Later on he will have a meeting at the parliament with the House President.
After the meeting, Wang and the members of the Chinese delegation will go to the Foreign Ministry for official talks with a Cypriot delegation headed by Minister Kasoulides.
After the talks the two ministers will make statements to the press. Following their statements, Kasoulides will host a lunch in honour of the Chinese Minister.
In the afternoon Wang will visit the ancient Greco-Roman theatre at Kourion and later he will take a walking tour of Phinikoudes in Larnaca.
He will leave Cyprus on Monday evening.
