Bulgarian Team Wins Five Medals at 46th International Physics Olympiad

Sofia, July 14 (BTA) – A Bulgarian team of pupils won two silver and three bronze medals at the 46th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), held in Mumbai, India, the Education and Science Ministry said Tuesday. The silver medals went to Konstantin Karchev of the American College of Sofia and Angel Sherletov of the Nikola Obreshkov
Highs School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Kazanluk. The bronze medals were won by Radostin Dimitrov of the Nikola Obreshkov High School in Kazanluk, Hristosko Chaushev of the Paisii Hilendarski High School of Mathematics in Sofia, and Boycho Vodenicharski of the First English Language High School in Sofia.  The Bulgarian team was headed by Prof. Miroslav Abrashev and Assoc. Prof. Viktor Ivanov from the Faculty of Physics of the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. A total of 390 pupils from 86 countries participated in IPhO  2015.
