Athletes from 12 countries to compete in Karate Kyokushin European Championship taking place in Sibiu

A number of 250 athletes from 12 countries will step into the ring on Saturday, July 25, in the Transylvania Multi-purpose Hall of Sibiu, to spar in the 5th edition of the European Karate Kyokushin Championship, Kata and Kumite for children, juniors, youth and seniors, the organizers announced on Monday.

Participants signed up for 65 categories. The competition day will end with the medal ceremony and the award of the “Best Technique”, “Best Spirit” and “Best Fighter” titles to the athletes who pull off the most remarkable performance.

The European tournament will be supervised by Kancho Yoshikazu Suzuki, President of the International Karate Kyokushin Federation, who will be in Sibiu to run and supervise the events. More…
