The Canal+ Award goes to a single short or medium-length motion picture in the critics’ section parallel to the Cannes Film Festival. The French premium cable television channel will broadcast the winning film.

The casting is the same for the three movies — Rodica Lazar, Dorian Boguta, Andi Vasluianu and Serban Pavlu, plus Ana Ularu for ‘Ramona’. It is 100 percent independent, produced by Andrei Cretulescu (Kinosseur), Radu Stancu (deFilm) and Claudiu Mitcu (We Are Basca), with Dan Chisu (DaKino) and Eugen Kelemen (Digital Cube) as co-producers.
