TIRANA, July 22 /ATA/ Albania has been admitted to the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Switzerland, or in otherwise known as the international “Oscar” competition of watchmakers, with a unique piece of primordial passion work by Artistic Jewellry “Pirro”.

“This masterpiece features twelve Albanian folk dancers, representing twelve regions, each unique and diverse in their respective regional embroidery, reflected in the micro figurines through hyper-realism, to mark the hours. Each has been finely designed and engraved to a micron range of 9-10mm height each, preserving the originality of a sculptural artwork.

The dial consists of a diverse artistic micro-mosaic, in red-black gradient of Murano glass stones, consisting of 1500 stones in eight different colors and 64 cuts, the smallest measuring only 0.2mm. The gradient and brand texture are adjusting the shade to indicate the hours.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media this amazing masterpiece of the “Pirro”, with Albanian motifs writing that, “Thanks to our genius goldsmith, Albania also enters into this competition for the first time.”
