The Association of Balkan News Agencies – Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE) condemns the cold-blooded attack against the freedom of expression and against innocent civilians that took place recently in Paris.
We are facing a “barbarous act” that outraged mankind and it is our right as human beings to “enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear” as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights stated 67 years ago. It is our right to defend ourselves with our ideas.
All those people paid with their lives for expressing their views and for putting into practice the most beautiful act of this job: the right to express and spread their ideas.
Therefore, we all must stand together against these violent attacks that try to divide us and to put us to silence. Because in a way we are all #CharlieHebdo.
