Podgorica, (MINA) – Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic and Minister of the Interior Filip Adzic will attend on Tuesday the commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide in Potocari.
As reiterated in the press release from Abazovic’s office, Montenegro passed the Declaration accepting the European Parliament’s Resolution on Srebrenica in 2009, while it also passed the Resolution on Srebrenica Genocide in 2021.
“With their presence, the delegation of the Government of Montenegro will pay respect to the victims of the genocide and underscore Montenegro’s clear position condemning the Srebrenica genocide and all other war crimes committed in former Yugoslavia”, the press release stated.
They add that the attendance to the commemoration represents continuous paying respect to the victims and Montenegro’s commitment to securing permanent peace in the Western Balkans, so that similar crimes would never happen again.
