8th edition of Spotlight Festival to unlock illumination magic in Bucharest, Oct 11 – 13

Bucharest, Oct 10 /Agerpres/ – The 8th edition of Spotlight – the International Festival of Light, slated for October 11 – 13, will immerse downtown Bucharest’s Victoriei Thoroughfare in a unique show of light and technology, with impressive light art installations and videomapping sessions beamed on the city’s landmark buildings, spotlight.ro informs.

Spotlight 2024, titled “Bucharest 565. Urban connections”, focuses on a complex theme that reflects the interaction between new media art and contemporary challenges, the organizers said in a release.

Spotlight #8 includes emblematic buildings and locations in Bucharest: the National Military Club, the Odeon Theatre, the Telephone Company Palace, the Novotel Hotel, the Music Store, the Revolution Square, the Central University Library, the National Art Museum of Romania, the George Enescu Square, and the InterContinental Athenee Palace Hotel.

Starting from 2023, the festival is a member of The International Light Festivals Organization, one of the largest organizations dedicated to light festivals around the globe, spotlight.ro shows.
