Mother Teresa Airport recorded as many as 577,515 passengers and tourist arrivals in February alone, registering a 69% increase from same period of the previous year, Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a post on the social media on Monday evening.
“Tirana International Airport is on an incredible flight path! In February 2024, we welcomed 577,515 travelers, a 69% increase from last year. From Jan-Feb 2024, the numbers soared to 1,202,785, marking a 59% jump!” the government head said via social media X.
“Albania’s beauty is calling – come and see for yourself why everyone’s flying our way,” PM Rama said, also inviting travelers to visit Albania’s stand at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade fair.
“Explore Albania and if you are around Berlin don’t miss the biggest tourism fair of Europe where Albania has a beautiful stand with plenty of information,” he added.
Under the slogan “Albania All Senses,” Albania will once again take part in the world’s largest tourism fair, ITB Berlin, which runs from March 5 to 7 in Germany.
In this fair, Albania will be showcased within a space curated by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, with the participation of 26 private tour operators and seven tourist municipalities that will present their offers and potentials in Berlin.
